WEIGHT TRAINING ADVICE

More than any other time in history, people are taking
health and fitness seriously. Although for the most part,
people have always enjoyed working out and staying in
shape, we see a new trend of fitness in this country
whereby getting and staying in shape is a number one
priority. With more than 50% of Americans struggling
with excessive weight, not eating right, and working
harder than ever before, the level of disease has risen.
Because of this, people are now taking a closer look at
themselves and making major changes.

Diets alone will not work, you need to get moving to burn
up calories. Lifting weights is very important for women
because not only does it slim us down and tone us up, it
also makes our bones stronger and as we age, this can only
help us. Most weight training is done in separate parts so
each group of muscles get worked on. We are not talking
about bulking up and creating huge muscles, this in light
weight training to tone and strengthen.

If you want to get ready for the coming summer months and
have interest in adding weight training to your workout
regimen, you need to get on a proper schedule, which means
not under or over training. Unfortunately, many people
work hard all week and then on Saturday, they hit the gym,
giving it everything they have. With this, you can
actually harm the body by over training in a short amount
of time. However, many exercises with weight training are
done in a single session, which means certain parts of the
body are under trained. We recommend you set yourself up
with a three time per week program, training antagonistic
muscles each session.

Making workouts fun will make things easier on you too and
joining a gym with a friend is a good idea. Weight training
takes concentration, so while working out, try not being
too catty during these sessions. Many people think the gym
is a place to socialize, and it is to an extent. Or you hear
someone complain that their work outs are not working like
they should even though they come to the gym four or five
times a week. If you watch these people though, you will see
they don't get alot of workout time in, but lots of
socializing does.

You don't have to go to a gym to get a good work out. Buying
an exercise DVD and exercising at home is a good way to get
healthy. You can also buy one of the many great exercise
equipment on the market today too, but remember, the
equipment you buy is not another piece of furniture to hang
clothes off of, or to be left in a corner or out on the
Lanai collecting dust. Us it like it's supposed to be used
and you will be surprised how fast your results can be.
By the time summer gets here, you'll be excited to buy
that new bathing suit, and you will be healthy and strong
in both mind and body. Your confidence level will be high
and you will be proud to show off your body. And you
certainly should be, you worked hard to look this good, and
you will be so happy that you finally stuck to your guns and
worked out in some way. So get moving and get healthy.
