A Blissful Meditation For All

Upright in a chair, not slouching, with feet relaxed
on the floor, hands resting gently in the lap....
Take two deep inhalations and exhalations whilst
using your mind to state the word RELAX.
Taking another two deep breaths, mentally repeat the
word "within" and notice the sense of expanded inner
awareness and consciousness.
Relax the face. Start with the eyelids and scalp, then
relax the corners of the mouth.
Take a nice diaphragmatic breath and relax the shoulders,
igaine the shoulders relaxing completely and put the
shoulders in a deep state of relaxation, and imagine
that they will becoe even more deeply relaed as we continue.
Then take a deep breath and relax the arms and hands.
Imagine the arms and hands becoming totally relaxed and
that they will become more and more deeply relaxed as we
continue. Repeat for the chest, stomach, back and legs.
After, you've relaxed yourself, visualize being on a beach
and walk in complete relaxation along the warm sand. See the
difference in color between the dry and wet sand, feel the
warmth of the sand and hear the sea crashing on the shore.
Continue to walk along the beach in complete peace and
harmony.
You may now wish to think positively about your goals,
visualizing them and being confident that you will achieving
in ways that are for your highest good and that of everyone
else involved. After a brief pause, repeat some affirmations
mentally, e.g. I am healthy, wealthy and happy. I am
prosperous and free. Every day in every way I'm getting
better and better.
After you have done this for about ten affirmations, rest
yourself completely and allow yourself to be still and
relaxed for a further five to fifteen minutes,
before opening your eyes and becoming aware again of
your surroundings.
